Octodad received enough attention that the team decided to run a Kickstarter, form the game studio Young Horses, and create a bigger, better, more polished game about Octodad. Despite everyone being convinced that the game was about a normal human dad, the game was a cult hit, gained critical acclaim, and was an Independent Games Festival Student Finalist in 2011. In this sequel to the splash hit Octodad, our cephaloprotagonist has gotten himself in a bind between his wife’s mounting mistrust, and a disastrous trip to the local aquarium! In Octo-ber 2010, a group of university students released the original Octodad into the world. Octodad’s existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. The main motive of Octodad: Dadliest Catch is to make you feel frustrated and helpless when the game itself asks you certain things to do but itself goes on creating funny obstacles in the way, crossing which becomes the toughest job for that moment. In the later part of the game there are characters that will smell an octopus even from a mile and here you have to play like in a stealth mode no doubt with funny results. However, you can't just keep flinging your tentacles around and create mayhem because it will attract attention towards yourself that something is wrong with you. This time you get to realize the other part of the life that an octopus might be experiencing while flinging its arms. The story line takes a giant leap here and the completeness of a game is in the moment when it ends. And this time you would be enjoying something else rather than being a humorous messy character fooling around. While the first part of the game allows you to wander around merrymaking all the way, the second half of the game has a surprise element in store for you. Throughout the game, the difficulty that you face and the mess that you make with even the most monotonous of the tasks will make you giggle with joy. The control adds up to the fun by separating each leg and tentacles for each movement. The game plan picks up the speed and thrill when the chef tries out his best to unveil the true identity of Octodad. The game begins at the wedding ceremony of Octodad where nobody else except a chef realizes the real identity of Octodad, that he is an Octopus in the garb of a human. Hey, but keep it up and come out as a winner and don't let Mr. Rather apparently, easy tasks can also make you sweat for having more than necessary number of limbs to tackle for one particular job. You would be given the control to move each of its limbs or tentacles separately and that is not going to be easy. But that's not going to be that easy as you might be guessing. Here you would be an Octopus who wears a human suit leading a normal family life with a human wife and two kids but you yourself would be playing the role of an Octopus loaded with regular tasks to be completed. Octopus? If you had a secret wish to experience that power yourself, Young Horses made it all fun in their brand new PC and MAC compatible game with this title, Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
